About Chelsey
Hockett is a union family mom from East Texas who earned her degree from Texas Woman's University in 2015 and has been active with the Kaufman County Democratic Party. She won the May 2026 Democratic runoff for Texas's 5th Congressional District, running as a working-class progressive on healthcare, housing, and union rights.
