About Colin
Allred grew up in North Dallas, raised by a single mom who taught in Dallas public schools, and later became a civil rights lawyer specializing in voting rights before he ever entered politics. He represented Texas's 32nd District in Congress from 2019 to 2025, then ran for U.S. Senate in 2024 before switching to run for the newly redrawn 33rd District in 2026, where he beat fellow Democrat Julie Johnson in a primary runoff.
