About Laura
Jones is a lifelong Texan, an Army mom, and a small business owner who works with HomePlus Realty Group in the Houston area. She's running as a Democrat for Texas' 8th Congressional District on a platform of universal healthcare access, raising the minimum wage, and taxing large corporations to fund affordable housing.

About Jessica
Steinmann is a Montgomery County attorney with a law degree from Baylor who worked in Senator Ted Cruz's office, then served in President Trump's Justice Department as Director of the Office for Victims of Crime. She later became general counsel for the America First Policy Institute before running for Texas' 8th Congressional District as a Trump-endorsed Republican; she's married to Montgomery County Clerk Brandon Steinmann and has two sons.
