Before he ran for Congress, Randy Weber spent decades running his own air-conditioning repair company in Pearland, Texas.
About Randy
Weber grew up in the Houston area, earned a business degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and built Weber's Air & Heat from the ground up, running it from 1981 to 2016. He served on the Pearland City Council and in the Texas House before winning the U.S. House seat for Texas's 14th District in 2012, and he's held it ever since. In 2024, GovTrack ranked him the most conservative member of the entire U.S. House.

Thurman Bill BartieThurman Bartie is a licensed funeral director and embalmer who later became Jefferson County's first Black Justice of the Peace and eventually Port Arthur's mayor.
About Thurman
A lifelong Port Arthur resident, Bartie studied political science at Prairie View A&M, earned a degree from Lamar University, trained in mortuary science, and even picked up a ministry degree, working as a funeral home director, a high school teacher, and a pastor along the way. In 1994 he became Jefferson County's first African American Justice of the Peace, and in 2019 he was elected Port Arthur's mayor, serving until 2025. He narrowly won the 2026 Democratic runoff for Texas's 14th Congressional District by about 200 votes.
