Before he was a state representative, Trey Wharton spent eight years on the Huntsville school board, three of them as board president.
About Trey
Wharton grew up in Huntsville, played and later founded a local insurance agency, Wharton Insurance Network, in 1991 after starting his career in banking. He was elected to House District 12 in 2024 after longtime incumbent Kyle Kacal announced he wouldn't seek re-election, and is now running for a second term, serving on the House Committees on Corrections, Insurance, and the Select Committee on Health Care Affordability.
