About this office
Your State Representative is one of 150 people who write Texas law, and yours is elected to represent your area of Hays County. Every two years they decide how much money your kids' school gets, whether your property tax bill goes up or down, and whether Texas takes federal money for health care or turns it away. Big decisions, made by a small group — and one seat is yours to fill.

About Nicole
Collier is a Fort Worth attorney and small business owner who has represented House District 95 since 2013, becoming the first woman to chair the Texas House Criminal Jurisprudence Committee. She has chaired the Texas Legislative Black Caucus and has repeatedly clashed with GOP leadership over voting rights, including joining the 2021 walkout to block a restrictive voting bill and, in 2025, refusing a state trooper escort during a redistricting fight and later suing over it.
