About this office
Texas is divided into 38 areas called districts, each with about 800,000 people. Every two years your district elects one U.S. Representative — one of 435 in Washington, and the only one who answers to you. They vote on laws that touch your health care, your taxes and your rights.
Candidates
Craig GoldmanBefore he was ever a politician, Craig Goldman spent nearly a decade running his family's gourmet food and wine shop in Fort Worth alongside his dad.
About Craig
Goldman represented Fort Worth in the Texas House for 12 years, rising to Chairman of the House Republican Caucus, before winning Texas's 12th Congressional District seat in 2024 to succeed longtime Congresswoman Kay Granger. He's running for re-election in 2026 on a platform built around border enforcement, gun rights, and opposing what he calls a liberal climate agenda targeting Texas energy.
Heli Rodriguez PrillimanBefore running for Congress, Heli Rodriguez Prilliman built a nail salon into a startup, founding Lacquerbar to fix what she saw as a broken beauty-school system that sets up nail techs, especially women of color, to fail.
About Heli
Raised in rural Stephenville, Texas, Rodriguez Prilliman went to Texas A&M, then spent years in Silicon Valley building startups, including an early role at the loyalty-software company Fivestars, before returning to Fort Worth to open Lacquerbar. She's running for Texas's 12th Congressional District pushing universal healthcare not tied to a job, a $10-a-day child care cap, and getting billionaire money out of politics.
